Advancing Climate Action – The Glasgow Declaration: Signatory Engagement Event on Planning and Pathways

Join us at FITUR 2024 for a dynamic discussion with the signatories of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism. This event, featuring two roundtables, will showcase progress achieved by signatories, as shown in the Glasgow Declaration Implementation Report 2023, and provide a platform to brainstorm on next steps. As of December 2023, over 850 organizations have signed the Glasgow Declaration.  Our goal is to foster collaboration, share innovative practices, and reinforce our collective commitment to driving climate action the tourism sector. This gathering is more than a meeting—it's a catalyst for impactful, climate action in tourism. Both signatories and not (yet) signatories are welcome to participate.

Objetives:

  • Showcase achievements and success stories in climate action from Glasgow Declaration signatories.
  • Encourage collaborative efforts among industry leaders and destinations to drive impactful climate initiatives.
  • Identify obstacles and explore solutions to accelerate climate action in tourism.
  • Promote awareness on the importance and benefits of climate action in tourism.
