On 29 May 2014 15 Bulgarian associations signed the Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism on the occasion of the Official visit of the Secretary-General to Bulgaria.

In December 2013 a total of 17 Portuguese associations signed the Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism on the occasion of the 3rd UNWTO International Conference on Tourism and the Media, that took place in Estoril, at the coast of the region of Lisbon.
During the 1st Summit of Presidents of Travel Agencies Associations, that took place on the 7th November in Cordoba, Spain, 12 companies and associations signed the Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. The group included organisations from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa (SUSPENDED), Canada, Greece, Spain, Latvia, Cyprus and Norway.
In October 2013, six prominent European associations signed the Commitment on the occasion of the 12th European Tourism Forum – Tourism, a Force for Economic Growth, Social Change and Welfare (Vilnius, Lithuania), in the presence of H.E. Mr. Evaldas Gustas, Minister of Economy of Lithuania, and Mr. Taleb Rifai, UNWTO Secretary-General.
On the 1st of October 2013, in the context of the APEC High Level Policy Dialogue on Travel Facilitation, held in Bali, Indonesia, 25 Indonesian companies and associations signed the Commitment in the presence of Mr. Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of UNWTO.
