World Tourism Day Walk & Carnival at Bhubaneswar, INDIA during FHRAI 50th Convention

Colourful carnival on World Tourism Day The proposed carnival that coincides with golden jubilee convention of Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), an apex body of four regional associations representing the Indian hospitality industry, is being touted as a unique event ever organised in the State for promotion of tourism. A colourful carnival showcasing Odisha’s tourism potentials will be taken out on a three-km-long stretch to commemorate World Tourism Day in the city on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Consulates of several countries, including USA and Thailand, have given consents to participate in the event while Indian Navy and Central Reserve Police Force have agreed to send their musical bands. The lively procession would originate from city’s Master Canteen Square and culminate at Rupali Square. Several renowned educational institutes will participate in the event with decorated tableaux while the State government department will too have their own tableau featuring rich tribal heritage and handicrafts. The carnival will be a cultural extravaganza with tableaux, folk dances and performances.
