Regional Executive Training on Tourism for Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific: A Practical Approach to Strategy and Product Development
UN Tourism will organize the Regional Executive Training on Tourism for Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific: A Practical Approach to Strategy and Product Development in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, from 05 – 06 August 2024.
As part of the UN Tourism Rural Development Programme, the Executive Training on Tourism for Rural Development under the theme ‘A Practical Approach to Strategy and Product Development’ will be organized for the Asia-Pacific region. It will be intended for officials in charge of rural tourism strategy and product development at National Tourism Authorities (NTA) or National Tourism Organizations (NTO) from the Asia-Pacific region Member States.
The main objective of the Executive Training is to support and provide technical-level managers with applied knowledge to develop, implement and measure a strategy on rural tourism and on how to create, develop, and market tourism products/destinations at a national and international scale. Knowledge and skills in these areas are further enhanced with practical tools including matrices, models and indicators, in addition to best practices, case studies and applied exercises.
