Quality Improvement in Tourism Education

Position: Tourism Education Expert
Location: Homebase and Middle East
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities

The Tourism Education Expert will be responsible for leading an extension of the Quality Improvement in Tourism Education Project for one country in the Middle East. The responsibilities of this position will be on the area of Quality assessment and Certification:

  • Supervise and be responsible for the onsite training for 3 candidates from the country on the TedQual programme methodology, so they can be part of the international group of TedQual Auditors once this process is finished
  • Organize and supervise the workshops and mentoring sessions for the 6 new participating institutions, ensuring that these activities cover the needs identified during the previous phase of the project
  • Coordinate the work of external UN Tourism TedQual Auditors
  • Actively participate and supervise the online and onsite auditing process
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information
  • Overall Quality follow-up
  • Carry out any other project-related duties as required by the project.

Qualifications

The Expert will have at least 15 years of work experience in the area of tourism human resources and a proven track record in leading projects and project teams. Deep understanding of tourism human capital development issues in the MENA Region as well as internationally are a must. Fluency and report writing skills in English are essential.
