Position: Project Assistant
Location: Homebase and Middle East
Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

The Project Assistant will be responsible for collaborating in the Quality Improvement in Tourism Education Project for one country in the Middle East. The responsibilities of this position will be on two main areas:

1. Quality assessment and certification:

  • Support the Project Leader in the preparation of an inventory of all tourism education and training programmes
  • Coordinate the delivery of online and onsite workshops on different topics
  • Collaborate in the gathering and production of different reports
  • Support the work of external UNWTO.TedQual Auditors
  • Assist in the preparation of status reports by gathering relevant information.
  • Carry out any other project-related duties as required by the project.

2. Tourism Faculty Development:

  • Support the project leader in the design of an eight modules training structure for faculty members.
  • Assist in the coordination of the work of international experts who will be developing the content for each training module of the programme.
  • Support the delivery of different training modules
  • Support the project leader in the evaluation process
  • Carry out any other project-related duties as required by the project.

Qualifications

The Project Assistant will have at least 5 years of work experience in the area of tourism human capital development and education and a proven track record in similar projects. Fluency and report writing skills in English are essential.
