FACTS & FIGURES
MISSION
The mission of the SITA observatory is to provide quality information through statistical, analytical, economic, business, and social methodologies to promote evidence-based decision-making and ensure public, fast, and free access to open tourism sector data.
CURRENT MONITORING PROCESSES
Within the framework of the strategic axis "Digitalization of tourism" established in the Public Policy for Sustainable Tourism of Antioquia, contained in Ordinance No.2 of 2023, SITA is positioned as a key factor. This axis seeks the introduction of technology-intensive processes in the tourism value chain, with the aim of fostering the sector's capacity for informed decision-making. The focus on data capture and analysis through technology reinforces SITA's position as a vital instrument for the successful implementation of the policy and the development of the digitalization of tourism in the department.
