Affiliate Members Report Volume Seventeen – Report on Gastronomy Tourism: The Case of Japan

Together with the UNWTO Affiliate Members Programme, Affiliate Members Gurunavi and Japan Travel and Tourism Association are launching the Affiliate Members Report Volume 17 - Report on Gastronomy Tourism: The Case of Japan

The Affiliate Members Report Volume 17 - Report on Gastronomy Tourism: The Case of Japan looks at the concept of gastronomy tourism in Japan. Through the survey done for this report, it is discovered that, while gastronomy tourism is a little-known term in Japan, activities in line with the term of gastronomy tourism are being undertaken across the nation. The aim of the survey was to uncover examples of gastronomy tourism activities and to gain an understanding of the current state of gastronomy tourism in the country. The report features seventeen different case studies of gastronomy tourism activities in Japan, ranging from local Sake breweries to hotel trains.

The executive summary of the report is currently available and the full version of the report will be available soon.
