Objective of the initiative | The objective is to improve the guiding skills of local tourist guides in Bahrain. This will be achieved by organizing two types of courses: Hands-on Tourist Guiding Courses (HoT) for 100 participants, after which will follow the Train the Trainer Course (TtT) for the 12 most successful participating guides.
Having the TtT component will ensure the creation of local capacity which will allow the replication of this activity in the future. These courses will give Bahrain tourist guides the opportunity to acquaint with the international standards in tourism guiding and promote WFTGA Code of Guiding Practice. |

Objective of the course | The central goal of this initiative is the improvement of guiding skills and techniques of local guides who play an important role in the tourism sector as Ambassadors for the tourist. These courses will give Bahrain tourist guides the opportunity to acquaint with the international standards in tourism guiding and promote WFTGA Code of Guiding Practice. Methodology & Structure | The Programme includes a specific methodology, that will be applied on interactive basis, with specific tasks, group discussions, problem solving, role plays, practical guiding, technical Visits to local museums and other tourism sites, and many other different interactive tasks. |
