UNWTO Mayors Forum for Sustainable Urban Tourism
8-9 July 2021 - Porto, Portugal

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), jointly with the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transition of Portugal and the Porto Municipality organized the 2nd edition of the UNWTO Mayors Forum for Sustainable Urban Tourism, under the theme ‘Tourism and the Future of Cities’, on 8-9 July 2021, in Porto (Portugal).
The Forum, a closed ‘by invitation-only’ Think Tank provided a unique platform to discuss and share issues and solutions for addressing the recovery of tourism in cities in a way that promotes economic growth, social inclusion and environmental sustainability. It brought together Mayors from around the world who share a visionary leadership on how tourism can contribute to creating cities for all, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and particularly Goal 11 - "Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable".
