El Secretario General de ONU Turismo concluye una visita histórica a China, y consolida la cooperación turística mundial

Los dirigentes de ONU Turismo han concluido una visita de alto nivel a China en la que han cosechado unos resultados excelsos, ya que han reforzado las alianzas estratégicas y promovido iniciativas de turismo sostenible en regiones esenciales. La visita del Secretario General, Zurab Pololikashvili ha incluido reuniones con altos funcionarios gubernamentales, líderes del sector y organismos internacionales de desarrollo, lo que ha permitido consolidar aún más la colaboración de ONU Turismo con China.

La OMT finaliza un proyecto de turismo gastronómico para Ubud (Indonesia)

La OMT ha concluido el Proyecto de Turismo Gastronómico, diseñado para Ubud (Indonesia), un centro mundial para el turismo gastronómico sostenible. En el marco de la Reunión de Coordinación Nacional del Turismo celebrada anualmente en Indonesia, el informe final del proyecto se presentó al Ministro de Turismo y Economía Creativa, Sandiaga Uno, y al Gobierno Regional de Gianyar.

Plan de destino turístico internacional para la ciudad de Jinan y Estrategia de comercialización para el mercado emisor de expatriados

The International Tourism Destination Plan provides guidance to tourism stakeholders in Jinan to successfully develop the tourism sector in line with international standards and best practices. Marketing Jinan as an ‘authentic’ tourist destination within easy reach of China’s political and commercial centres will set in motion a trend of increased visitations by other international visitor markets.

Gansu Revitalization and Innovation Project

To provide the Gansu Province of China with technical assistance in tourism development by addressing structural shortcomings, including rural-urban disparities and a lack of connectivity between identified “hubs and spokes” that negatively impacts tourism length-of-stay and spending, and limits the development of self-sustainable creative tourism products. Deficiencies in the sphere of tourism skills and competencies, primarily regarding the international marketplace and limitations in the international awareness of the Gansu Province as a key Silk Road node and passageway, will also be addressed.
