The 30th Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for East Asia and the Pacific and the UNWTO Commission for South Asia (30th CAP-CSA) & UNWTO Regional Seminar on Climate Change, Biodiversity & Sustainable Tourism Development

The 30th Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for East Asia and the Pacific and the UNWTO Commission for South Asia (29th CAP-CSA) & UNWTO Regional Seminar on Climate Change, Biodiversity & Sustainable Tourism Development will be held in Nadi, Fiji on 18-20 June, 2018.

The 30th CAP-CSA Joint meeting which is UNWTO´s principal annual event in the Asia-Pacific region will be attended by participants from UNWTO Member States, UNWTO Affiliate Members and international and regional organizations. Key topics this year will include:

  • UNWTO´s Programme of Work for the Region
  • Tourism and Ethics
  • Conclusion of International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017
  • Climate Change, Biodiversity & Sustainable Tourism Development
  • Other statutory issues related to the UNWTO Asia-Pacific Member States

On behalf of the World Tourism Organization of the United Nations (UNWTO), I look forward to welcoming you all to Fiji for the 30th joint meeting of the UNWTO Commissions for East Asia and the Pacific and for South Asia. This year, in collaboration with Chimelong, we are also holding a regional seminar to highlight the strong potential for tourism to lead in the transition to a greener, more inclusive and more responsible sector that works for, not against, the environment.
