First UNWTO International Conference on Spiritual Tourism for Sustainable Development

The publication features presentations from the First UNWTO International Conference on Spiritual Tourism for Sustainable Development, held in the Ninh Binh Province, Viet Nam, on 21-22 November 2013.

The conference explored ways in which living culture, traditions and beliefs can be integrated into tourism while respecting the four pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic, social and cultural, and aimed at enhancing positive effects of spiritual tourism on the economic and social advancements of communities.
