'David Baddiel on the Silk Road' to air on Sunday 21 February at 9pm on the Discovery Channel UK
UNWTO Silk Road Programme was pleased to collaborate with Pioneer Productions and Discovery Networks International on the production of the four part series 'David Baddiel on the Silk Road' which will go to air this Sunday 21 February at 9pm on Discovery Channel UK.
On this 4,000 mile adventure, from China to the Mediterranean, British comedian, novelist and television presenter Mr. David Baddiel will set out to uncover the most extraordinary sites and the most intriguing stories of the Silk Road, and reveal how the ancient exchanges had such a critical impact on the future development of the world. David will travel by air, land and sea through seven countries as he follows one of the traditional Silk Road routes. The countries featured are: China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.
The series will focus on the cultural and historical significance of the Silk Road, and will showcase stunning landscapes, historical landmarks and inspiring cultures found along the journey.
