Acclaimed TV host Holly Morris to headline Silk Road Seminar at JATA Tourism Expo 2014
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO); Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) and Asia-Pacific Tourism Exchange Center (APTEC) are pleased to announce that Globe Trekker tv host Holly Morris will be delivering the keynote presentation at the Silk Road Seminar to be held on 26 September at JATA Tourism Expo 2014.
Ms Morris is an author, investigative reporter and filmmaker. Miss Morris and was the presenter of the Globe Trekker Silk Road episode that crossed Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Georiga, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan in 2012. UNWTO was pleased to work with Pilot Productions and the Silk Road countries on this production that was viewed by an audience of 30 million viewers in 40 countries.
The organizers of the Silk Road Seminar at JATA Tourism Expo are delighted to welcome Ms Morris back to hear her insights on her experiences travelling the Silk Road. Ms Morris has extensive experience in film making across the world, as a presenter on “Globe Trekker,” (PBS) and “Treks in a Wild World” (Discovery) and also hosted “Outdoor Investigations” (OLN). Ms Morris is the author of Adventure Divas: Searching the Globe for a New Kind of Heroine (Random House) and writer/director and EP of the companion PBS series, “Adventure Divas.” A former National Geographic Adventure columnist and widely anthologized essayist, Morris is also a regular contributor to The New York Times among other national publications.
