At the 95th Session of the UNWTO Executive Council (Belgrade, Serbia), applications from 39 candidates were approved for joining the Organization’s Affiliate Members Programme.

At this edition of the Executive Council, we not only only achieved  great success in the number of new candidatures, but also in the quality and variety of the applicants from all different UNWTO regions and work scopes, such as the Brazilian Association of Tour Operators, the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agents, NH Hotels and the International Student Identity Card Association, among many others.

Following the admission process, the 39 new members will be able to enjoy benefits including free access to UNWTO market intelligence, participation in the Organization’s industry reports, priority invitations to events and association with the UNWTO brand.

We would like to highlight the increased presence of UNWTO in Central and Eastern Europe and show our special appreciation to the Azerbaijan Tourism Association, a Member of the Affiliate Members Board, for promoting the Affiliate Members Programme in their country. This support contributed to add 18 new Affiliate Members from Azerbaijan during this Executive Council.
