UNWTO.Capacity. The 9th edition of the UNWTO course in Argentina hast just been inaugurated
With the participation of National Tourism Administrations Officials from Africa and Latin America, the World Tourism Organization, with its UNWTO.Themis Foundation, and the Government of Argentina have started the course on Excellence in Tourism Marketing: Social Media in the Tourism Destination in the province of Rio Negro, Argentina.
The course, inaugurated on 6th May, was attended by Gonzalo Casanova Ferro, National Director of Tourism Quality from the Ministry of Tourism, Verónica Llambrich, Director of Tourism Training at Mintur; Ángel Rovira Bosch, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Province of Rio Negro; María Eugenia Martini, Mayor of San Carlos de Bariloche; Fabián Szewczuk, Secretary of Tourism of San Carlos de Bariloche; Sònia Figueras, UNWTO.Capacity Programme Manager in the UNWTO.Themis Foundation, David Vicent and Johana Cavalcanti, experts and specialists on marketing, marketing online, tourism innovation, social media, social networks, among others.
This course, held from 5th to 11th May in San Carlos de Bariloche, aims to provide the knowledge, skills, tools and a forum for discussion and reflection on the various communication tools and strategies so that, at the end of the course, participants can design, plan and manage their global tourist destination strategy that maximizes Social Media. Among the activities, the participants are to work on a practical case of San Carlos de Bariloche, Dina Huapi, el Bolsón and Las Grutas.
