Workshop “Toward Sustainable Tourism”
The Workshop “Toward Sustainable Tourism” was Organized by SITCA with the collaboration of the UNWTO, and held in the island of Roatan, Honduras, on 23 and 24 of June 2011, with the participation of Ministers of Tourism of Central America, National and Local Authorities, International Organizations and the Private Sector. The Conclusions and Recommendations adopted at this event highlight the challenges and opportunities for sustainable tourism in Central America, a sector which is the engine of economic and social development, as well as a main pillar in the regional integration.
