Regional Workshop on Risk and Crisis Management in the Tourism Sector
As part of UNWTO’s capacity building efforts to strengthen Member States and private sector abilities to prepare for, mitigate and react to the multiple risks the tourism sector is facing, UNWTO and the Ministry of Tourism of Brazil organized this workshop to address the core issues of a systematic approach to manage risks and crises, including the necessary organizational structures, accountabilities, policies and procedures. In an interactive but also didactic way, international and national experts presented findings and shared with the participants best practices and techniques for an efficient risk and crisis management.
