Fifth International Meeting on the Silk Road (Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan)
On 8-9 Octover 2010, delegates from over 25 countries met in the historic Registan Square, Samarkand Uzbekistan, to debate key issues relating to the development of tourism along the Silk Road. Organized jointly by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Government of Uzbekistan, the meeting was a milestone event bringing together over 250 representatives committed to building a brighter future for Silk Road tourism.
