Some students of the Degree in Tourism of the University of the Republic, in Maldonado, Uruguay celebrated on 26 September "the day before World Tourism Day". We met in the city's main square for a couple of hours, and handed out information and maps of Uruguay, Maldonado, and other regions. We talked to people and let them know about what we study, and also about World Tourism Day itself. We also organized a few activities for children, such as a touristic version of Twister, and a trivia about our country. We encouraged people to be tourists if their own city. It was a more than satisfying afternoon.
