The 3rd edition of the CBTour (Croatian Business Tourism) award, the only Croatian award for creative and innovative tourism project will be held at Hotel Palace in Zagreb starting at 19:00 hours. The award ceremony is held each year on World Tourism Day and celebrates innovation and creativity in tourism, one of the world's largest economic sector. The aim of this award is to systematically encourage the business community in the tourism sector to develop competitive, efficient and effective business, convention and scientific tourism based on innovative approaches and sustainable development. This award wants to give, on a national level, a special incentive to tourist operators that offer or want to offer an innovative tourist service or product and therefore enrich the tourism offer in general. The awards are given to companies and other legal entities in nine categories and give added value to the recipients of the award on a domestic and international level. The news regarding this years’ awards are adaptation of the documents and award criteria to the European best practice of awarding. In accordance with the contest, the prizes are awarded for the best overall program, best program of responsible tourism, best team building program, best creative program, best service, best product, best technology and best business manager. A special award, in accordance with the World Tourism Day motto ("Tourism and Sustainable Energy: Powering Sustainable Development"), will be given to the most outstanding project that put sustainability in first place.
