Brazilian World Tourism Day - Tourism for all

Next Tuesday, the 27th, the Ministry of Tourism celebrates the World Tourism Day in Brasília, in a ceremony for the public authorities and representatives of the tourism sector. The highlight of the celebration will be the release of a video that shows three people with disabilities and special needs who were invited to travel to Brazilian destinations during Rio 2016’s Paralympic Games. This action of the Ministry is in line with the World Tourism Day’s theme: “Tourism for All - promoting universal accessibility”. Three poor people who never travelled before and who are part of institutions that assist the disabled - João, Sabrina and Maristela-, visited destinations where main infrastructure construction works received public investments. Their story proves that accessibility and inclusion are precious assets for tourism.
