UNWTO / HTC High-Level Symposium on MICE Tourism
UNWTO, in collaboration with Hangzhou Tourism Commission, held the UNWTO / HTC High-Level Symposium on MICE Tourism in Hangzhou, China from the 15th-18th October 2012.
This Symposium, the first of its kind to provide a platform for dialogue on MICE tourism among government officials, provided opportunities for the sharing of best practices, trends and strategies in MICE development among UNWTO Member States in the Asia Pacific Region. The Symposium also further explored the findings of the recently completed UNWTO / HTC Study on MICE Tourism in Asia and the Pacific with specific reference to Hangzhou.
Participants had the opportunity to learn from international and domestic MICE experts as well as share, network and build partnerships through interaction, country-specific case study presentations and technical visits.
