CTP is the leading body of tourism business associations, having acquired legal personality in 1995, encompassing all the business associations of tourism. CTP’s mission is: i. To ensure cohesion and internal unity of tourism agents and strive for the development of tourism as a business; ii. To ensure strategic control of the Confederação for affiliated Business Associations; iii. To contribute to the definition of tourism policy; ?? iv. To participate only in global and inter sectors issues, always acting in a supplementary position in its member’s initiatives; v. To contribute to a better scientific understanding of tourism as a way of preparing and implementing policy measures. vi. To develop a flexible organization, credible, efficient and able to act. Other CTP objectives are the promotion of studies and discussions of topics of interest for the business sector of tourism, the diagnosis and monitoring of problems affecting it.
