MTDC WORLD TOURISM DAY CELEBRATIONS : TOURISM & PEACE

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), a Govt of Maharashtra Enterprise will be holding Regional Seminars on TOURISM & PEACE in all its offices of Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik and Ratnagiri all across the state of Maharashtra in the Republic of India. An essay and painting competition will be organised on the UN TOURISM theme in Scholls and colleges expecting 500 participants. Brochures of destinations will be unveiled. World Heritage sites of Ajanta, and Ellora, which signify world peace through confluence of cultures will be showcased along side the Wildlife and Natural Heritage of Nagpur, Western Maharashtra, Northern Maharashtra and Konkan. Awarded Responsible Tourism and Gender in Tourism deliberations are also on the anvil. Experiential Tourism involving heritage walks, camps for Tourists, botanical trails, village visits will be organised. Community based Tourism will be also brought forth to narration of success stories of stargazing and strawberry farming. The capability of MTDC as a responsible Tourism body will be highlighted under the guidance of the Secretary Tourism, Ms. JAYASHREE BHOJ, IAS and Managing Director, Mr. MANOJKUMAR SURYAVANSHI, IAS. The programme will be curated by the General Manager, Mr. Chandrashekhar Jaiswal along with all the HoDs and the Regional Managers of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.
