Knowledge, skills, tools and experiences will be shared, enabling participants to apply triple-bottom-line management approaches to ensure that tourism experiences are both globally competitive and sustainable.
Mr. Carlos Vogeler, Programme Director for Regional programme for America and Executive Director for Member Relations at the UNWTO stated that: “We need to keep working in making the world understand that tourism, when well-designed and well-managed, can contribute to the three dimensions of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental and consequently to the 17 Universal Sustainable Development Goals”.
