The National Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova (ANTRIM) is the most active organization in the field of inbound and domestic tourism industry. ANTRIM’s mission includes Destination Marketing, Product Development, Workforce development and lobby & advocacy for the tourism industry. The association has 90 members and a representativeness of approximately 90% of the inbound, domestic tourism industry’s value chain, such as tour operators and tourism agencies (specialized in inbound and domestic tourism), hotels and accommodation units (including rural guesthouses), wineries, rural tourism facilities, tourist experience providers such as SUP, kayaking, a.o. Promotion:

  • ANTRIM is leading, managing and supervising the activity of Moldova National Tourist Information Center, launched in 2017 with the support of Moldova Competitiveness Project (USAID, Government of Sweden, UKAID) and UNDP in collaboration with the City Hall of Chisinau;
  • Moreover, ANTRIM conducts familiarization tours for foreign journalists, tourism bloggers, opinion formers and info-trips for foreign businesses. In 2019, 60 journalists as part of 11 press trips have been organized by ANTRIM. (Since 2014 to 2020 - average of 40 press representatives per year);
  • The association ensured the participation with the Moldovan country stand at over 30 fairs and exhibitions;
  • B2B participations are facilitated for ANTRIM’s members, especially in the immediate period following COVID-19 outbreak, online participation at B2B matchmaking events was promoted by ANTRIM;
  • The development of international communication campaigns such as "Discover Moldova" (Romanian: Descopera Moldova), "Be Our Guest", "Come to My Home" (Romanian: Hai la mine acasa). Moreover, on the occasions of national celebrations, ANTRIM conducts social media campaigns, aimed to increase the awareness of cultural heritage of Moldova on international arena.
  • Skills development: ANTRIM organized various training sessions to industry stakeholders, under the non-formal academies called: Moldova Tourism Start-up Academy, Next Tourism Generation Academy and Hospitality+.

Lobby and advocacy:ANTRIM is member of the Economic Council by the Prime Minister of Moldova, a platform on which ANTRIM advocates for the easing of tourism business environment.

Product development: In 2020-2022, ANTRIM has launched 7 tourist routes which are accessible on www.moldova.travel national tourist platform."
