The conference is addressed to the community of teachers, students and trainers in the tourism industry and proposes to explore the theme "Tourism and Peace", in line with the annual theme of the World Tourism Day. Emphasis is placed on recognizing tourism as an essential structural element in building and sustaining positive peace. In this context, tourism is seen not only as an economic activity, but also as a catalyst for intercultural understanding, dialogue and collaboration between nations. The conference will address how tourism can contribute to sustainable development goals and promote a culture of peace through education and sustainable practices. It also aims to discover the most effective methods of aligning study programs to the specific needs of the tourism and hospitality sector to ensure professional training that directly responds to the field's practical challenges.
The agenda of the event includes topics such as:
- Tourism – an important pillar of international peace;
- Professional training in tourism - initial certification and microcredentials applied in the continuous training process;
- Promoting peace and sustainable development of tourist destinations;
- The role of competitions in promoting education for peace and tolerance (Worldskills Competition)
