Centre Stage Project: ‘Women’s empowerment during the COVID19 recovery’

Primer Plano cuenta con la participación de las Administraciones Nacionales de Turismo de Jordania, Costa Rica, República Dominicana y México. Las cuatro administraciones están trabajando activamente y en estrecha cooperación con la Organización Mundial del Turismo (OMT) para implementar planes de acción personalizados, diseñados específicamente para proporcionar apoyo en el avance hacia la igualdad de género en el turismo y aumentar las oportunidades de las mujeres dentro del sector.

Las cuatro administraciones participantes pondrán en marcha una serie de acciones específicas como implementar una política de igualdad de género para la recuperación del sector turístico, impartir formación en igualdad de género a los responsables en el ámbito público o medidas para impulsar la progresión de la carrera femenina.

In each country, a diverse group of tourism businesses are implementing an Action Plan specifically designed for the private sector.

Among the expected results, the different participating businesses will provide tailored gender equality trainings, introduce programmes for female career progression and formally commit to ‘equal pay for work of equal value’.

Given the vital role of civil society, social and professional organizations for gender equality, the Centre Stage project is grateful for the valuable support of a diverse group of entities from in all the participating countries, specialized in the following areas:

Women's empowerment and gender equality;
Women's rights within Tourism;
Tourism organizations.

The different organizations and NGOs listed below, form an integral part of the Centre Stage Project and will support the participating businesses and administrations in their progress, particularly through the implementation of the different activities set in their Action Plans.
