Trakya Development Agency, a public institution, is operating in the provinces of Tekirdağ, Edirne and Kırklareli (Thrace Region of Turkey) to reinforce collaboration between the public, private sector and civil society, to ensure resources get used appropriately and efficiently and to contribute to the socio-economic development of the region by stimulating local potential. Since 2010, with the aim of ensuring and accelerating regional development the Agency has been carrying out planning, programming and coordination operations and projects in the field of tourism, eco-tourism, health tourism, geographical indications, entrepreneurship, and empowerment of disadvantaged groups etc. As a coordinator institution, the agency works as a destination management organisation in the region with the collaboration of Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) and its regional stakeholders and carries out tourism projects.
