#SHTMatSurrey Innovation Challenge "Nobody is Left Behind"
The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Surrey launches the #SHTMatSurrey Innovation Challenge to celebrate World Tourism Day 2021 with the theme "Nobody is Left Behind" to encourage the creation of innovative ideas to make travel and tourism more inclusive.
The kick-off event will take place on 27 September 2021 at 14:00 BST with a webinar on the WTD2021 theme of "Tourism for Inclusive Growth," featuring Professor Gang Li (Director of Centre for Competitiveness of the Visitor Economy), Professor Caroline Scarles (Director of Centre for Digital Transformation in the Visitor Economy), and Professor Xavier Font (Director of Centre for Sustainability and Wellbeing in the Visitor Economy), moderated by Professor Iis Tussyadiah (Head of School of Hospitality & Tourism Management).
The #SHTMatSurrey Innovation Challenge aims to identify innovative ideas to promote inclusion through the development of and participation in various forms of tourism, hospitality, and events. Most innovative ideas will be awarded prizes from SHTM and research centres.
