The Directorate General of Archaeology Punjab is launching a photography contest in connection with World Tourism Day, where tourists and locals can submit their best shots of Punjab's archaeological sites. In addition the people will be encouraged to take Live Photos and share it with the Deputy Director North Punjab Archaeology. This could help promote these sites on social media and as a major destination for potential tourism.
Rohtas Fort was build by Sher Shah Suri back in year 1540 as a major military / defensive line to prevent enemy's attacks. The Directorate General of Archaeology has carried out an extensive conservation and preservation.
