III BOOT CAMP SURFEA DTI BENIDORM

Benidorm, Alicante, Spain | LA TIENDA DE INTELIGENCIA TURÍSTICA PHYGITAL

A Boot Camp is an innovative collaborative participation methodology that brings together public, private, academic, and social actors with the aim of fostering creativity, teamwork, challenge identification, and mobilization towards action by a Smart Tourism Destination (DTI) managing entity. These gatherings are designed to apply all the advances and developments related to the DTI Model within the territory, based on its five fundamental pillars: governance, innovation, technology, sustainability, and accessibility.

Boot Camps allow tourism destinations to address the challenges posed by Spain's Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism, such as the creation of a data-sharing space, 360-degree visibility, social sustainability, standardization, and funding through Next Generation EU funds. For a smart tourism destination to effectively implement the management model promoted by the public administration, it is essential to adapt to these challenges.

Faced with the growing need for training municipal tourism technicians and professionals involved in implementing these challenges within the territory, Boot Camps emerge as an effective response. In these spaces, conclusions are drawn and new lines of action are outlined through debate and collaboration among the various involved agents, generating concrete solutions for key tourism topics.

In short, Boot Camps are an essential tool for driving development and innovation in smart tourism destinations, facilitating alignment with national and European objectives in tourism and sustainability.
On September 23, 2024, Benidorm will hold its third Boot Camp "Surfea DTI", organized by Inteligencia Turística SL and the Benidorm Council, a key event aimed at fostering innovation and sustainability in smart tourism destinations.
