HAITC campus celebrates World Tourism Day 2024

World Tourism Day Celebrations at Hainan University- Arizona State University International Tourism College (Hainan University). HAITC students will celebrate World Tourism Day with a series of events focused on resilience, recovery, and the power of tourism to foster peace.
2024 celebrations will include:

1. Workshops on Resilience and Recovery in Tourism: These workshops will explore how tourism can support community rebuilding after natural disasters like Typhoon Yagi.
2. Peace Garden Planting: A Peace Garden will be created where trees will be planted, and stones placed to symbolize hope and renewal after the typhoon.
3. Manhole Graffiti Project: Students are invited to creatively express their emotions and ideas by decorating manholes on the Mission Hill Campus, connecting the theme of "Tourism and Peace" with the impact of Typhoon Yagi.
4. Outdoor Hiking and Cycling at Wuzhishan Tropical Rainforest Park: Students can participate in hiking and cycling activities to promote the connection between tourism and nature, emphasizing the role of tourism in fostering peace and well-being.
