Tourism in Punjab has immense potential, vigor, enthusiasm, energy, initiative, drive, passion for struggle, resilience, perseverance, creativity, and innovation to contribute in the economic growth and development of the country. It is very important to promote healthy activities throughout the province to engage our youth and creating excellent recreational opportunities for them. Tourism is a dynamic activity as well as a vibrant industry worldwide, so it has great potential for employment opportunities in domestic as well as in international market.
Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department is envisioned to empower the youth by engaging them in healthy activities through promotion of tourism in the Punjab province. It has also determined to explore, establish, excavate, renovate the historical/cultural sites in the province in order to develop a vibrant tourism industry in the country.
On World Tourism Day, Tourism Department is having a day long plan in which Disscussion groups as per UN-TO prescribed agenda items will be disscussed. For public, Pakistan's 1st Glass roof double decker busses will be launched. The day will end will round table conference of Travel and Tour Operators and Cultural performace.
