Hunting for Emotion - A stronger offer in uncertain timeshttps://tourisminskane.com/sv/om-oss/about-tourism-in-skane
On September 27, Tourism in Skåne will commemorate World Tourism Day by inviting dedicated companies within Skåne’s hospitality industry to an illuminating workshop on the theme of "Meaningful experiences". The ability to create meaningful experiences for customers and employees has become central to success in business. This applies to all industries and is perhaps especially important in the hospitality industry where facilitating meetings between people is in focus. The workshop will give the participants tips and solutions for how to make an impression, strengthen profitability and simply put, advise in what one can do to thrive in a world that may feel a little uncertain right now. We will commence the workshop by offering a "Knowledge Boost" which allows companies a platform to gather, inspire, and empathize with other leaders within the hospitality industry who might be struggling with similar challenges. We also see this session as an opportunity to discuss slightly more complex issues related to the themes "Rethinking Tourism" and Skåne's road map towards 2030: Tourism matters. About the day The session will kick off with ideas and possibilities, packed with lots of inspiration and practical tips. Together in small groups, the companies will have the opportunity to not only process their own challenges, but also address common challenges with their peers. The workshop will be led by Arvid Axland, an esteemed lecturer and co-author of the book Hunting For Emotion - the art of creating meaningful experiences, which is an inspiring handbook in experience design which examines the new currency of our time; the emotion. He is also one of the founders of Pool advertising agency and has helped several hundred companies in a variety of industries increase their market value through experiential marketing communication. As an author, visionary and workshop facilitator, Arvid's mission is to make more people aware of the value they can create for their surroundings through experiences. In everything they do and say. Experiences are what creates long-term profitability and a more glorious world for everyone. As a company, you can expect inspiring workshops and practical tips to take home to your business. In the workshop, we work with real cases from some of the participating businesses. Köpmansmagasinet Smygehuk The location for the day is Sweden's southernmost cape! In Skåne, we have decided that we want to work together so that tourism will be involved in shaping a sustainable future in a caring and welcoming world. We travel more and more – to new destinations and new experiences. Tourism is the third largest export industry in the world and can generate growth and development for entire regions and countries. Tourism also increases understanding between people and invites connections. But tourism can also burden the people and places being visited, if not managed properly. Due to high visitor pressures, wear and tear, and a lack of stewardship on the part of visitors, can not only rub locals the wrong way, but can increase the strain on the places people have come to enjoy. In Skåne, we have chosen to see tourism as an important and powerful tool in the future of sustainable community building. We know that it contributes to society in the form of increased employment, capital, and important tax revenues. But we are not satisfied with that, we want to achieve more, reach further! We simply must ensure that tourism is part of the solution to global challenges! Website:
