China Tourism Group Corporation Limited (CTG), also known as China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited, is a backbone state-owned enterprise directly managed by the central government and one of the central government-owned enterprises headquartered in Hong Kong.
The history of the group dates back to the travel service department established under the Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank on August 15, 1923. After over 100 years of development, CTG has formed a group structure consisting of eight major businesses namely China Tourism Group Travel Services Co., Ltd. (CTG Travel), China Travel International Investment Hong Kong Limited (CTG International), China Tourism Group Investment Management Co., Ltd. (CTG Investment), China Tourism Group Duty Free Co., Ltd. (CTG Duty-Free), China Tourism Group Hotel Holdings Co., Ltd. (CTG Hotel), CTG Development Corporation Limited (CTG Development), China Tourism Group Asset Development Co., Ltd. (CTG Asset) and China Tourism Group Cruises (Hainan) Co., Ltd. (CTG Cruises), with a network covering China’s mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and nearly 30 countries and regions abroad. Boasting many well-known tourism brands such as HKCTS, CITS, CTG and CDF, etc., the Group is the sole central government-owned enterprise taking tourism as its core business and a leading tourism enterprise in China, with the longest history, large scale and high brand value and subsidiaries across the complete tourism industrial chain. The Group had over 45,000 employees, with total assets of more than RMB 210 billion and 655 whollyowned or controlled subsidiaries by the end of 2022
