Széchenyi István University (SZE) is located in the city of Győr, a county seat in the NorthWest of Hungary. The University is a dynamically developing University with nearly 13,500 students, employing more than 600 academic staff. The university is committed to sustainability in all aspects of its operations. With our partners and future partners, we intend to carry out extensive tourism research based on sustainability principles, which can be beneficial for both the public and private sectors. We would like to contribute to a better foundation for the decisions of the organizations involved in tourism, relying on the results from our research and partner collaborations. The aim of the university is to expand its partnership relations as an affiliate member of the UNWTO and to contribute to the realization of sustainability goals. The mission of the development is to enhance collaboration between large, medium and small sized enterprises, university researchers and talented university students. As guarantees of our success, we increasingly rely on active collaboration with numerous industrial partners in the region and local government support complemented by an entrepreneurial research culture and an ever-growing awareness of our social responsibility and sustainability. The University boasts seven Competence Centers. Thanks to the rapid pace of the internationalization process, SZE is evidenced by the steady annual rise in the numbers of international students, now representing approximately one tenth of the total number of full-time students and originating from 70 nations. This growth has been paralleled by the increase in the number of international programs.
